The 2 Trillion Dollar War

I think that Coldplay definitely represents the values of our generation. They are a big component of "change." They turned down multi-million dollar contracts from Gatorade, Diet Coke, and Gap because "we wouldn't be able to live with ourselves if we sold the songs' meanings like that." They are a big supporter of Amnesty International, a popular non-profit group that protects human rights.
Coldplay openly opposes the war in Iraq and talks about it in their music. Also, Coldplay gives ten percent of the band's profits to charity. People in society are worried about the direction we are going in. We are resisting what is happening today and asking for "change." Coldplay wants change and they help create better society everyday.
